Registration is open for the next campout.  The troop is going cabin camping for two nights on the weekend of January 10th to Pine Tree Scout Reservation in nearby Tabernacle, NJ.  The focus of the weekend is cold weather camping skills.  Don’t worry, the cabin is heated, has bunk beds, a fireplace, and its own bathroom and kitchen.  Also planned is an afternoon on the BB or Archery ranges (to be voted on by the troop this Sunday).

Service Project - Annual Parish Picnic - Sunday, September 15th

Posted on Sep 13 2019 - 11:21am

As mentioned at last week's troop meeting, we have been asked once again to help out with the annual parish picnic starting at 10:00 AM this Sunday.  This is a good opportunity for Scouts who need service hours for rank advancement and/or Confirmation service hours.  Please RSVP on the Troop website so we can get an idea of headcount.  Like last year, the Troop will help with the set-up of tables and chairs in the morning, and clean-up when the picnic is over around 5PM.  When responding on the website, please make a note in the comments field if you plan to attend all or just a portion of the day.  There will be additional tasks throughout the day where the Troop can be helpful like serving the food, and volunteering to help with games and activities. They really appreciate our efforts every year.  Also, please be reminded that as a Catholic sponsored organization, each Catholic scout and leader’s first priority should be to go to mass each week on Saturday night or Sunday.  Therefore, we ask you, if at all possible, to go to mass on Saturday night so you are free to help on Sunday.  If that is not possible, let the leader in charge know on Sunday, so you can attend one of the morning masses.  Please wear your red Class B T-Shirt and feel free to reach out to any of the troop committee with questions.
